‘I started with Norco Rural eight years ago as the Kempsey Store Manager. Immediately I noticed that the organisation's culture was flexible, friendly and supportive. I found that the other Store Manager's were really helpful and assisted me in settling into the new role and I was pretty much given free rein to develop and grow the business with a real focus on selling rather than administration.
The buying structure of Norco Rural has allowed me to ensure that I can range the right products for my area in my store. I am not limited in the range that I carry, and I can take advantage of the buying power and great pricing that come with being part of a larger organisation, as well as the ability to purchase products required to fulfil a customer order from smaller distributors. I really can source the products I need to meet the needs of my local market.
Overall Norco Rural has provided me with a clear and structured approach to targets and goals. This approach has made a great change from my previous employer who regularly changed strategic direction.
